3-in-1 Switch-Mode Power Converter allows you to easily build your own custom Universal Portable DC Power Bank by combining it with a portable 12 volt battery (lithium ni-cad or lead-acid) \u2013 or just simply run it directly from the 12v on board of your car or mobile home. This unit can potentially cover any voltages between 1v and 36v<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It includes :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. \u2013 100w Step-Up (Boost) Converter with the input adjustable from 12 to 36v DC, which means you can operate or charge any devices that require voltages above 12v. This is particularly useful for various kinds of Laptops and portable computers which typically require about 18, 19 or 20v depending on a model\u2026 The voltage can be easily adjusted with a precise multi-turn trimpot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. \u2013 150W Step-Down (Buck) Converter pre-set to 12v which can be made adjustable if desired \u2013 by simply installing a 10k multi-turn trimpot in the spot shown on the picture. then the output from the black DC socket can be adjusted from about 12.6v down to 5v ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. \u2013 20w Buck Converter for 5v USB port capable of supplying up to 3 Amperes of USB power ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. \u2013 Also available a direct output from the 12v battery which also doubles as a charging input if unit is combined with a portable 12v battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Battery Charge Level indicator is also built into this unit. There are 4 LEDs on the right side of the PCB.
When battery voltage is above 12.6v all 4 LEDs stay green.
LED #4 goes OFF when battery voltage drops below 80%
LED #3 goes OFF when battery voltage drops below 60%
LED #2 goes OFF when battery voltage drops below 30%v
LED #1 goes RED when battery voltage drops below 10v -which indicates that the battery is low and needs to be recharged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the 3 converters use Switch-Mode Integrated Circuits which all have built in overload, overheat and short-circuit automatic protection on chip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
